Nature-based therapy can take a variety of shapes but essentially its about bringing nature into the work we do. I tend to use nature-based therapy techniques as part of a more holistic therapeutic approach as part of my integrative counselling model.
Whether you feel a strong connection to nature already or you would like to create a deeper connection to nature as you navigate issues you’re working through, we can incorporate many different nature-based exercises and techniques into our work together.
We are incredibly lucky to live in a landscape with a vast variety of natural resources to connect to and we will have access to some of that during our sessions. Being surrounded by trees and plants and water here means we can incorporate some of these things into our work. We also have some friendly animals on location that are sometimes willing to take part should you invite them to.
All nature-based therapy activities are dependant upon the weather and nature itself. We are always respectful to considering the needs of any animals or natural resources that we might engage with.
