Animals and nature

_MG_2045I’ve been working within the field of animal-assisted interventions for 6 years and I’ve witnessed many times how having an animal involved in a person’s therapeutic experience can bring forward words when they could not be said before, feelings that could not previously be expressed and a unique connection that can bring comfort or encouragement in the most anxious of times.

There are many ways in which we can bring nature into your therapy whether it be the simple presence of a pet in our counselling sessions or specific activities that we plan together to include animals or nature.

These kinds of interventions are often more suitable for longer term clients and may involve additional costs or travelling to specific locations.  If it’s something that really appeals to you, lets talk about it and see if we can find a suitable route to bringing animals and nature into our work together.
